Why is the Cost of Health Care So High?

I think that's crucial question. Why does course of action costs keep skyrocketing while any other thing gets cheaper and better in time; cell phones, DVD registered users, microwaves, etc.?

I believe it has everything related to how we purchase health services and government healing.

Think about it, health care was residence blip in expenditures before government takeover in 1965. Medicare or a lesser extent, Medicaid as you move numerous regulations and characteristic government waste was the kicker for which we experience now.

The other the issue the way health methods are purchased with private and so government insurance. When you visit a doctor or a hospital do you ever even care how much cost is? Of course not, we hand our insurance card with them and its well looked after.

But is this looking insurance? Insurance is a stride of risk. In every other state of affairs where we purchase attention we typically only file suit for devastation: a totalled car or major decrease of a home. Why don't we treat health care the same instead of to be able to free pass?

Ask your physician the various services are. They'll likely not know the answer for the same reason we don't counseling: we are not shopping for the best deal.

My elderly mother prior to getting Medicare had to pay fund any health service. Howdy? She shopped around. I remember she needed some rather expensive laboratory work done. She called LabCorp, Quest and several lessen labs and ended up going with a small private lab whose fees were lowest, or perhaps purchasing the service was getting better. What about now? Because she has stopped being a consumer of dietary services, she'll just go with whatever lab your doctor and insurance will pay for thinking not once to around cost.

So we have employer based health insurance that offers all kind of extravagant services. Some start from mental health, some chiropractic by even more obscure. Why can't we whenever you choose to purchase through our employer fewer catastrophic care and to order your routine visits with end up being pre-tax health savings descriptions. That would save a money.

If you don't often file claims, shouldn't the premiums end and vice versa if you try to the doctor frequently. You'll want to how other insurance executes.

The corporations aren't too concerned about it from the tax breaks they have for offering these policies. In addition, I don't even think it's legal to be able to offer the much affordable catastrophic care only.

Where is the outrage inside the insurance companies now of current administration and Congress pushing for numerous more if not total government handle of health care? Well they have visited bed with government provided I can remember. Find out HMO's? The big companies will survive and the rest is indeed swallowed up.

I did find a John Stossel video introduction that demonstrated one procedure that wasn't covered by nutritionary insurance-LASIK surgery. This make people shop around purchasing price for THEIR hard-earned dollars. Eye doctors compete heavily work together to lower prices and improve services to be affected by paying customers and unlike enable health care, LASIK surgery has decreased on price by 30% of late, just like a mobile phone. Curious.

Just a thought...
