The Disastrous Republican Health Insurance Plan Under John McCain

While everyone is talking about gun toting VP office staff, "lipstick on a pig" also in "drill baby drill" the principle issues of the economy nicely energy independence, foreign procedures, education and healthcare go with back seat.

A negative issue is the McCain policy for health care. With the free market and less regulation clearly failing (Lehman Bros., Freddie Osx, Fannie Mae, Bear Stearns, Enron can also be. ) the Mc Cain take charge of would dismantle the employer sponsored group medical health insurance system by forcing employees out on their own to be insured good "free market" and take policies that need underwriting, cost sharing, high deductibles indeed, higher premiums.

How because? The group plan will first become taxable using a employee. The employer would rarely withhold the tax money in the employee's paycheck. Younger, healthier employees don't desire money withheld and is going without insurance or seek a consumer health plan for by themselves leaving older, less healthy employees to group plan until the money become so expensive the employer drops the project altogether. Then the older employees have to search for individual health insurance in them market as well.

And the carrot to stick? A tax credit in the amount of $2, 500 per seller and $5, 000 per family said to be used to pay for fascination and any excess(what outstanding? ) would be deposited for an HSA. With current premiums in the vicinity of $400 per month individual and $1500 month-to-month family, the tax credit 'd provide a bandaid such as hemoraghing family budget where rrnsurance coverage premiums are now line of item along with fda, mortgage, heat, gasoline, college etc..

The McCain plan would try to eat drop all State restrictions and regulations on medical cover so that people would be "free" to create a plan in any show you. This also means that your state regulations that be done protected insured individuals for have a pleasant day would be removed. Employees would be on their own and unprotected in an absolutely free market system designed to profit insurers.

The really scary thing is the is not a tip. Look up John McCains website and you will see the plan. The first presidential debate Sen. Obama stated the health plan consequently McCain ignored him but that doesn't bother to respond. The united states have not reported over it at all, yet it potentially affects every person who has a group health plan, including in your own. So forget the buzz about lapel buttons, budding pregnancy, lipstick, "drill baby drill" etc. and pay enlarger to this proposal that could cost us all, blue state or blue, dearly. Democrat or republican you are required to let your local representatives read your comments about this plan.
