Health - Carbonated Drinks Can Damage Our Health

Last week I wrote a health article on how chemicals we use everyday around the home and offices can be harmful our health, and potentially dangerous to unborn and toddlers.

This week there is currently even more worrying health information given concerning the additive E211 in soft drinks, especially at this season when some children drink so much. Parents have been warned these people should limit having their children's soft drinks a result of health fears over the protection of a commonly tested out preservative E211, as laboratory tests have shown that it may switch off vital aspects of DNA, causing serious injury to cells. Concern is also given of the fact that tests suggest this may possibly also result in other degenerative diseases regarding cirrhosis of the poorly liver and Parkinson's disease.

E211 are located in many soft drinks holding Fanta and Pepsi Max and many more brands of highly consumed carbonated drinks. Peter Piper, a molecular biologist expert carried out the study of sodium benzoate or E211 with Sheffield University, where he found that it may damage the mitochrondia, an essential area in DNA. The actual Food Standards Agency and drink manufacturers require rigorous assessments are made so the approval and use connected of their additives, and it's deemed safe to health in the uk, EU and US to take food use. The FSA says that consumers can continue to enjoy soft drinks knowing they are safe.

However, Peter Piper said that "these chemicals can cause severe damage en route to DNA in the mitochrondia to the point that they totally inactivate the dog, they knock it out and about altogether". The mitochrondia consumes oxygen that provides you energy, if this becomes damaged the cell begins to malfunction seriously. With this there's an easy whole range of diseases effecting your well being now being linked - through must also be reported DNA, Parkinson's foremost, but also several other neuro-degenerative diseases not to mention the whole general health technique for ageing.

Sodium benzoate is popular to kill bacteria, yeast and fungi in ales, fruit juices, jams after that spreads, and salad dressings, as well as all kinds of other products. But it consistantly improves soft drinks, which are taken in higher quantities, and been useful for decades by the carbonated drinks industry that is attaining concern. Peter piper acknowledges rrn which sodium benzoate had passed the uk, European Union and PEOPLE TODAY food safety tests, but claims that tests were too old to be reliable, and that by standards of modern safety testing are inadequate for the health

Safety testing in areas has moved forward for quite some time 50 years with a new paper, and so rigorous new tests requires to be conducted on E211 as well as additives. Sodium benzoate can be seen naturally in some fruit something such as apples, cranberries, prunes, greengages and also cinnamon and cloves and you may already know these are more wholesome. When sodium benzoate is combined with vitamin C it ones a carcinogenic substance identified as benzene.

I believe some of us should not stop drinking soda pops altogether, but the consumption requires to be limited, and maybe production of carbonated drinks with a shorter shelf life, needing less additives must have been a good step for manufacturers to waste. This would probably bring the asking price of carbonated drinks more on the inside line with healthier alternatives available, as at right after they are the cheapest option in the most common supermarkets.

Hope you find this interesting, as I really don't believe any of us are aware just how many different chemicals we consume regularly along with the effect they have to this health, especially children.

This article was recorded Sandra & Ted Wosko of them talking book site. An effective way reading and learning but simply never had the time. I then found available about audio downloads. I'm happy to report I learned that I easily download not just music in addition to books-"talking" books on the subject, including my favorites and the ones I have been meaning view for years. With the freedom of listening once i am busy doing other areas like the housework, cooking gardening and traveling I reckon my time is more time fulfilled. I was so impressed with what I found and downloaded that I thought i'd start my own site so way I could share it with everyone else. Sandra www. goodfoodgoodhealth. org goodfoodgoodhealth. com
